Job Purpose:

Our client is seeking a driven and customer-focused Business Development Consultant / Account Manager to market and sell products and services to new and existing clients, while identifying opportunities to cross-sell and upsell within the portfolio. The successful candidate will be responsible for building strong client relationships, ensuring excellent service delivery, resolving escalated client queries, identifying new business opportunities, and achieving agreed sales and service targets. This role is suited to a proactive individual with strong relationship management and B2B sales experience.

 Responsibilities: 

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients
  • Market and sell products and services to achieve sales targets
  • Cross-sell and upsell solutions within existing client portfolios
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities and leads
  • Prepare and present proposals to prospective and existing clients
  • Resolve client queries, complaints, and escalations efficiently
  • Ensure excellent customer service and ongoing client retention
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date client and portfolio records
  • Work closely with internal teams to ensure effective service delivery
  • Monitor market and competitor trends and provide feedback to management
  • Compile weekly sales and service reports
  • Assist clients with document retention and records management requirements

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business Management, or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in sales or business development
  • Previous B2B sales experience is essential
  • Experience within document management, records management, or a similar industry
